If it is good it won't matter if it's short. If it is bad it won't matter if it is short. Just make your movies better and listen to what people say in their reviews. Just by looking at the picture used for your little rant I could say that you should have used a bigger brush for the outlines and the words on the poster. The hand's fingers just look downright sloppy. The thumb should be on the other side of the stick like a normal human hand. Also the way you have the poster sign colored makes it look like it should be a sphere or something.
Basically what I am saying is to take a drawing 101 course or something, it would really help the quality of your movies and you'll have a good foundation to work from.
